Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

We believe everyone deserves to shop comfortably and independently. That includes people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or who simply need more time and clearer contrast.

Our goal is to make every page on this site — including checkout — usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or assistive technology.

2. Conformance Status

2.1 Target Standard

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

2.2 Current Status

We treat accessibility as an ongoing project rather than a one-time certification. We conduct regular internal reviews, remediate issues as they are found, and review accessibility implications whenever we launch a new feature or redesign a page.

2.3 Where We Still Fall Short

Some legacy content, embedded third-party applications and user-submitted content may not yet fully conform. We document known issues and prioritize them by user impact.

3. Accessibility Features on This Site

3.1 Navigation and Structure

  • Consistent navigation and page structure across the site.
  • Logical heading order so screen reader users can jump between sections.
  • Descriptive page titles and unique link text wherever practical.
  • Skip-to-content available through keyboard navigation.
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.

3.2 Visual Design

  • Text contrast reviewed against WCAG AA thresholds for body text and headings.
  • Layout designed to remain usable at 200% zoom and on small screens.
  • Content not dependent on color alone to convey meaning.
  • Form fields with persistent, clearly associated labels.

3.3 Interaction

  • Full keyboard operability for menus, product filters, cart and checkout.
  • Forms that announce errors in text, not only in color.
  • Sufficient time to complete checkout, with the ability to review and correct entries before submitting.
  • Motion and animation kept minimal and non-essential.

3.4 Assistive Technology Support

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks to support screen readers.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Captions or transcripts for product and educational video content where provided.
  • Compatibility with common browser and operating system accessibility settings.

4. Measures We Take

  1. Design review: accessibility criteria are part of our design checklist before build.
  2. Automated testing: we run automated scans to catch contrast, labeling and structural issues.
  3. Manual testing: keyboard-only and screen reader walkthroughs of key journeys, especially checkout.
  4. Vendor expectations: we ask third-party providers whose tools appear on our site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
  5. Training: our team is briefed on accessible content authoring, including alt text and link text.
  6. Prioritized remediation: issues affecting the ability to complete a purchase are fixed first.

5. Known Limitations

We want to be honest about what is not yet perfect:

  • Some third-party applications, including certain payment and review widgets, may not fully meet Level AA.
  • Older user-submitted reviews and photos may lack descriptive alternative text.
  • Some decorative animations may not be fully suppressed by all reduced-motion settings.

Where a limitation prevents you from completing a task, contact us and we will complete it for you or provide an accessible alternative.

6. Alternative Ways to Shop

If any part of the site is difficult to use, you can:

  • Contact us through our Contact page and place your order with assistance.
  • Request product information, ingredient lists or policy documents in an alternative format.
  • Ask us to walk you through a return or exchange by email instead of through the self-service flow.

There is no additional charge for any of these options.

7. Feedback and Assistance

We genuinely want to hear about accessibility barriers. Please contact us through our Contact page and include:

  • The page or feature involved.
  • The assistive technology and browser you are using.
  • A short description of what happened.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 24-48 hours and will tell you what we intend to do and when.

8. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is never finished. We review this statement periodically, update it as our site changes, and treat every report as an opportunity to make the store better for everyone — because accessible design is simply better design.
